Mr. Rajiv Khemani, Principal Donor, Visits ScAI

On March 13, 2025, the School of Artificial Intelligence (ScAI) at IIT Delhi had the privilege of hosting Mr. Rajiv Khemani, Principal Donor. During his visit, Mr. Khemani toured the newly constructed ScAI building and attended a presentation that highlighted the school's significant strides across various AI research domains.

The visit also facilitated engaging discussions between Mr. Khemani and ScAI faculty members, focusing on cutting-edge advancements and the future trajectory of AI research at the institute. His interaction with the faculty reinforced the collaborative ethos that drives innovation at ScAI, underscoring the school’s commitment to pushing the frontiers of artificial intelligence.

ScAI faculty member Prof. Hariprasad has been selected as a 2025-26 Cornell University AI for sustainability (AI4S) Visiting Professor. This recognition reflects his exceptional contributions to AI for sustainability.

IIT Delhi’s Yardi School of Artificial Intelligence recently hosted an insightful seminar on the safety of machine learning in critical systems, featuring none other than Prof. Thomas G. Dietterich, a globally renowned AI researcher and pioneer in the field.

Held on 17th February 2025, the event brought together curious minds eager to dive into the complexities of AI safety. Prof. Dietterich shared his expertise on making machine learning systems more reliable, tackling challenges like adaptive data collection and risk management in high-stakes environments.

The session wrapped up with a vibrant Q&A, where participants got the chance to interact directly with the expert, sparking discussions that extended beyond the seminar. Events like these continue to strengthen IIT Delhi’s role as a hub for cutting-edge research and meaningful conversations in the ever-evolving world of artificial intelligence.

Several ScAI members visited University of California, Santa Cruz in July 2024 to conduct a joint workshop.

We are glad to share that our principal founder Mr. Rajiv Khemani has been conferred the Distinguished Alumni Award 2024 by IIT Delhi.
