Title: Securing the Intent Driven Era Teams link
Abstract:
This session addresses the computing shift from instruction-based software to autonomous, intent-based AI agent networks. This evolution introduces "Agentic Hacking," where machine-speed threats operate at a millisecond scale, making traditional human-led reactive security mathematically obsolete. This offers a unique opportunity to build an automated, ambient "cybersecurity immune system" across horizons like contextual reasoning, multi-agent protocols, and invisible governance to proactively protect global computing systems.
Speaker Bio:Pankaj Rohatgi is VP of Engineering for Technology Foundations and Research (TFR) within Core's Privacy, Safety, and Security (PSS) organization. He oversees Applied Research, Engineering Productivity, and the long-term technology roadmap for Core PSS. His organization includes the Safeworks Applied Research team, which catalyzes novel security and privacy capabilities, and the Acceleration Platforms team, which develops products to streamline PSS innovation and improve security posture across Google. Additionally, Pankaj leads the PSS Tech Office, a group of senior engineers responsible for setting the organization's long-term technical direction. Previously, Pankaj founded the Security Foundations Team, where he secured Google's production infrastructure, including global datacenter hardware, networking protocols, and identity and access systems. He also managed product security for Google in partnership with federated product security teams in Cloud, Chrome, and Android, and held interim leadership roles for Alphabet's Detection and Response, Enterprise Security, and Privacy teams. With over 30 years in the security industry, Pankaj was formerly a Security Technology Engineering Fellow at Rambus' Cryptography Research division, focusing on side-channel analysis and secure hardware. He also spent time at IBM Research, where he managed the Information Security Group and contributed to IBM 4758, the world's first FIPS 140 Level 4 certified crypto co-processor and led the security team for System S, the precursor to IBM's Infosphere Streams product. Earlier in his career, he was the security architect for the OpenTV operating system. A widely published expert, he has co-chaired major industry conferences like CHES and CARDIS and served on NSF panels. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Cornell University.
