Param Pragya an AI-powered high-performance supercomputing facility

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated Param Pragya, an AI-powered high-performance supercomputing facility established at IIT Delhiโ€™s Sonipat campus.

PARAM Pragya is the latest supercomputing facility in the Indian Academia of its scale. It is powered by 400 NVIDIA A100 80GB GPUs, providing a significant computing advantage for various AI workloads. In terms of AI compute, this translates to 250 AI petaflops of compute.

In addition to a large compute capacity, the facility has 10 petabytes of Parallel File System Storage, enabling rapid data access and processing at scale. The modern Data Center where the HPC is commissioned, is powered by approx. 800 kilowatts of energy, ensuring stability and efficiency for round-the-clock AI processing.
